2NE1's agency takes legal measures
8 Nov – YG Entertainment announced that they will take legal action against those who spread vicious rumour about 2NE1's members' drug scandal.
According to Soompi website, false rumours about 2NE1's Park Bom, Minzy, and Dara supposed drug abuse started spreading after E-Sens of Supreme Team was arrested for smoking marijuana a couple days ago.
Shortly after his arrest, a lot of press reported that there was a black list of star celebrities who smoked pot in Korea and it would be made public soon. One of the names rumoured to be on that list was Park Bom, and it spread like wildfire that other 2NE1 members were also involved through Twitter and Facebook.
YG Entertainment representative said, "Park Bom has absolutely nothing to do with that list. It's completely false so we didn't pay any attention to the rumours. But people started taking it as the truth, thus we decided to address the issue with harsh legal measures."
They also added that the initial ones that spread the rumour are currently being investigated by the Korean cyber police. YG Entertainment also stated that they will file a defamation lawsuit against some of the Korean press that falsely reported on the rumour without enough facts.
