3 arrested for suspected gang-related activity
The police yesterday (9 March) said they have arrested three men, aged between 18 and 46, for their suspected involvement in gang-related activities.
The police had earlier told Yahoo Singapore in response to queries that they were investigating a video that had surfaced in which a group of men were chanting gang-related slogans at a funeral. The video clip uploaded by Theindependent.sg shows a funeral procession in which men chant “Hai Lok San” repeatedly, referring to the 108 Hai Lok San gang.
That video itself came days after another video of men shouting slogans of the 369 gang at a funeral had led to the arrest of seven people.
Investigations into the latest incident are in progress.
