3 Reasons Why You Must Watch ONE: NO SURRENDER

ONE Championship is gearing up for its first flagship event in nearly five months, and the promotion has pulled no punches.

With only two days to go before ONE: NO SURRENDER hits Bangkok, Thailand, we look at three reasons why martial arts fans in Singapore must watch this epic event on Friday, 31 July.

1 – A Battle Between The Best Muay Thai Flyweights

In the night’s main event, ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon will defend his belt against Petchdam “The Baby Shark” Petchyindee Academy.

It won’t be the first time the compatriots meet, but it will be the first time they compete in the ONE Circle against each other.

Their first bout took place in May 2017 at Bangkok’s Rajadamnern Stadium, where Petchdam scored the decision win. Just under a year later, however, Rodtang redeemed himself by beating “The Baby Shark” at the same venue.

The stage is set for the rubber match, and whoever wins this one will rightfully claim their spot not only as Thailand’s best flyweight, but as ONE’s divisional king.

2 – A Muay Thai Legend Will Try To Strike Gold

In the co-main event, “The Boxing Computer” Yodsanklai IWE Fairtex will challenge ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy for the latter’s strap.

For Yodsanklai – a living legend in the world of Muay Thai – competing for a ONE World Title has been his dream since joining the organization in 2018.

If “The Boxing Computer” can find a way to topple Petchmorakot this Friday, he’ll be adding the ONE World Championship to his already impressive collection of World Titles.

But he will have to get past the youth and long-range of his rival, who is also determined to keep the belt and become a legend himself.

3 – The Highly-Anticipated Return Of ONE Championship

The last time martial arts fans around the world saw a live ONE event was in February of this year.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Home Of Martial Arts was forced to postpone many of its events.

When restrictions started to ease, however, ONE’s team worked diligently to put together one of the greatest cards in the promotion’s history.

ONE: NO SURRENDER will feature two ONE World Title clashes, a kickboxing super-fight, and plenty of other action to keep martial arts fans on the edge of their seats.

Watch the card live on meWATCH at 8:30 p.m. Singapore Standard Time (SGT). Also, Channel 5 will broadcast the event on delay at 1:10 a.m. SGT on Saturday, 1 August.

Likewise, download the ONE Super App to catch all the action live and for free.
