“The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition” is nearing the end of its first season, and while much time is being spent in the boardroom as ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong continues to eliminate candidates, viewers are still getting a taste of what Singapore has to offer outside of the office.
With that said, here are three iconic locations that will be featured in Episode 10 of the toughest “Apprentice” in history – and what makes each of them special.
Chinatown is located in the heart of Singapore and is home to much of the city-state’s Chinese population.
That means the district is loaded with Chinese culture, from temples to historical streets to amazing cuisine. A popular destination for locals and tourists alike is the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, where a solid 2-meter-tall gold stupa is kept.
Chinese culture, however, is not the only rich heritage that can be found throughout Singapore.
#2 Little India
Just across from Chinatown, on the east side of the Singapore River, is Little India, another district filled with cultural treasures.
One of those gems is the Tekka Market, an Indian wet market and food court. At the market, visitors can buy produce, poultry, fish, and more to take home and cook themselves, or they can buy ready-to-eat dishes and dine there.
Once you get a taste of Singapore’s rich heritage, you can partake in more modern experiences as well.
#3 Orchard Road
Orchard Road runs through the center of Singapore, and although it’s only 2.2 kilometers long, the entertainment and shopping options are seemingly endless.
The road is home to over two-dozen shopping centers and malls – not to mention eateries and nightclubs. And for those who enjoy a more quiet atmosphere, there are plenty of low-key coffee shops to choose from.
Catch a glimpse of these Singapore landmarks when Episode 10 of “The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition” airs on AXN this Thursday at 8:50 p.m.
