Here are the 30 finalists of the Singapore central bank FinTech Awards

The FinTech Awards winners will be announced on November 16, together with the announcement of Global FinTech Hackcelerator winners

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has announced the 30 finalists of The FinTech Awards, which comprises of the MAS FinTech Awards and ABS Global FinTech Award.

The awards recognises innovative fintech solutions that have been implemented by startups, financial institutions, and technology companies.

Ten winners are set to be announced at the FinTech Awards Night on November 16 at Singapore Expo, altogether with the winners of the Global FinTech Hackcelerator. They were shortlisted out of 309 submissions.

The winners will be evaluated based on the following criteria: Impact, practicality, inter-operability, and uniqueness and creativity.

According to MAS Chief FinTech Officer Sopnendu Mohanty, there has been an improvement in the quality and variety of submissions for both the Global FinTech Hackcelerator and the FinTech Awards.

Here are the finalists of the FinTech Awards:

Company: AGDELTA Pte Ltd
Solution: Digital Wealth Platform (DWP)
AGDELTA’s digital wealth platform consists of three pillars – execution, compliance, and digital advisory.

Company: AIDA Technologies Pte Ltd
Solution: Claims Expeditor – STP
AIDA’s Claims Expeditor – STP is a high precision machine learning engine for medical insurance claims automation.

Company: Asia Risk Transfer Solutions (ARTS)
Solution: Crop Risk Expert System (CRES)
Crop Risk Expert System (CRES) is a cloud-based risk analytics platform designed to address the challenges faced by risk professionals in analysing yield production data and pricing crop insurance premiums in India.

Company: Attores Pte Ltd
Solution: Open Certificates
Attores enables the issuance of digital diplomas, certificates licenses, accreditation, badges, directly on the blockchain to secure the certificates and allow instant verification of authenticity.

Company: BeamAndGo Pte Ltd
Solution: BeamAndGo
BeamAndGo is a fintech and e-commerce marketplace that connects overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) with merchants in the Philippines. With BeamAndGo, OFWs can take care of their families in the Philippines without having to remit cash.

Company: Blocko
Solution: Lotte Card Blockchainbased Authentication
Blocko set up a blockchain-based biometric log-in and payment authorisation system for Lotte Card which is one of the largest credit card companies in Korea. A biometric authentication method was implemented so that users’ fingerprints could be used as authentication in logging in and conducting transactions through the Lotte nationwide mobile application.
