KOTA KINABALU: More than 4,200 people stormed the Tanjung Aru rugby field this morning to take part in Milo’s biggest breakfast event of the year.

The Milo Malaysia Breakfast Day (MBD), held for the second consecutive year in Sabah, saw the popular running event returning to highlight breakfast as the most important meal of the day, especially for children.

The crowd arrived at the venue as early as 6am to partake in various activities including the three-kilometre run along the beach, which was joined by 1,700 runners.

“We are pleased that Milo Malaysia Breakfast Day is still one of the nation’s most celebrated breakfast events.

“It is great to be back in Kota Kinabalu for the second year to advocate the importance of breakfast to families, and how Milo can help to provide children with the energy to start their day right,” said Nestlé (M) Bhd’s Milo Business Unit Consumer Marketing manager April Wong.

The breakfast event also hosted activities for everyone, including creative breakfast preparation classes, Zumba dance and treasure hunts.

The event will head to Kuching (April 2), Johor (April 8), Kuantan (April 16), Kota Baru (May 6) and Putrajaya (May 14).

“We are aiming for more than 55,000 participation at the six locations nationwide this year.” Wong added.
