40,000 see Stoch soar to victory at Ski Jumping World Cup

Double Olympic champion Kamil Stoch guided Poland to victory at the ski jumping World Cup team event in Willingen on January 28, 2017

Poland's Kamil Stoch took victory on his home hill at Zakopane on Sunday with 40,000 fans cheering him on, just seven days after back-to-back triumphs in the ski jumping World Cup at another Polish venue at Wisla. It was a fourth successive victory for Stoch who saw off Germany's Andreas Wellinger and Richard Freitag. Stoch also leads the overall standings ahead of Norway's Daniel Andre Tande who was seventh on Sunday. Sixth after the first round with a jump of 130m, Stoch flew to a technically perfect 131.5m on his second attempt despite the tricky conditions.
