SINGAPORE — Two Singaporeans and one Malaysian were arrested and close to $401,000 worth of illicit drugs were seized on Tuesday (16 February) by Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) officers.

About 3.72kg of heroin, 813g of "Ice", 2.9kg of cannabis and one Erimin-5 tablet were seized during the operation that took place in multiple locations around Singapore, said CNB in a news release on Wednesday.

On Tuesday evening, CNB officers raided a residential unit at Edgedale Plains in Punggol. The unit's occupant, a 24-year-old Singaporean man thought to be a drug offender, refused to admit the officers into the home.

He also attempted to escape arrest by climbing out window of the 17th-floor unity. CNB officers eventually pulled the suspect to safety. A search of the home turned up six packets containing about 776g of "Ice" and two blocks of cannabis weighing 1.9kg in total.

Separately, CNB officers arrested a 28-year-old Singaporean woman and 32-year-old Malaysian man around Balestier Road.

Both were taken back to their hotel room in the same area, where eight packets containing about 3.7kg of heroin, four packets containing about 37g of "Ice", three packets and blocks containing about 1kg of cannabis and one Erimin-5 tablet were found. Cash amounting to $9,370 was also seized from the room.

Investigations into the drug activities of all the suspects are ongoing, said CNB.
