LINGAYEN, Pangasinan - Governor Amado T. Espino, Jr. and Vice Gov. Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, Jr. invited all the people of the province, tourists, and the general public to join the celebration of the 433rd Agew na Pangasinan (Pangasinan Day) on April 5 as the Capitol had lined up exciting activities for everyone.
The celebration begins with a thanksgiving mass at the Capitol Plaza at 7:30 a.m., followed by a commemorative program which will include the presentation of the "Pangasinan History and Development Book" by the Pangasinan Historical and Cultural Commission and the awarding ceremonies for winners in the "Kurit Panlunggaring Literary Contest" and the "Balitok A Tawir Culture and Arts Festival." Cultural Performances will also be showcased with the rendition of Pangasinan songs by the LGU-Bautista Chorale Group and Pangasinan folk dances by LGU-Urdaneta.
At 10:30 a.m., major thoroughfares of Lingayen will be filled with spectators as various floats from the various local government units (LGUs) designed artistically will traverse the roads for the "Parada na Dayew."
