A 5-month-old baby girl named Taylor Hayley Victoriano was allegedly abducted by her newly hired nanny yesterday in the village of Bambang in Taguig City.
Taylor’s mother, Princess Jean Perrin, told television program “Umagang Kay Ganda” that she hired the nanny, named Kristine Joy Salik, from a Facebook group and the latter started working for her on Nov. 7.
Perrin and the baby’s father were having a nap when alleged kidnapping occurred. Perrin said she had initially wanted to have the baby sleep with them, but Salik volunteered to take care of her while they were resting. When Perrin and her boyfriend woke up three hours later, they couldn’t find Salik or their child, which led them to seek the help of village officials, GMA News reports.
CCTV footage taken from Perrin’s neighborhood and posted to Facebook last night shows Salik walking down the street with Taylor. The clip has since been shared almost 28,000 times.
In a follow-up Facebook post, Perrin said someone told her that Salik had allegedly been seen by netizens in Montalban, in Rizal province.
“She didn’t bring any bottles or milk for Taylor,” Perrin added. “My child is probably very hungry!”
Police Maj. Matron Calyaen of the Taguig City police told Radyo Inquirer that Salik is possibly using a fake name, and that he believed the ID that the nanny showed to Taylor’s parents was probably fraudulent. Cops have already gone to Salik’s purported house in San Mateo in Rizal province, but she couldn’t be found in the area.
Taguig City police have appealed to the public to call them at (02) 9395047033 or (02) 86423582 if they have any knowledge regarding Taylor or Salik’s whereabouts.
