Looking for more thrills in Singapore? You may get your wish by the end of this year when the Republic welcomes its first Bungy Tower at Siloso Beach on Sentosa island.

The 50-metre tower, to be built by AJ Hackett International, will offer a range of experiences including the world’s first “Duo Giant Swing” and commercial “Vertical Skywalk”, along with a “Skybridge”.

Visitors can try out a variety of jump styles from the tower’s 47-metre “Double Bungy” jump decks, while the giant swings will see two groups of participants race each other towards the ground at speeds of over 100kmh, the company said in its media release on Friday (27 May).

Meanwhile, the “Vertical Skywalk” - normally used as part of military training - will allow users to experience walking vertically down the 44 metres of the tower’s central shaft. A 40-metre long will also let visitors of all ages “walk along an open-air bridge, taking in sights of Siloso Beach and jumpers leaping off the tower”.

“A lot of time and effort has been put into the design and flow of this site, and in working with all stakeholders, we’ve tried to create a destination where people of all ages and adventure levels can challenge themselves and be entertained,” said Mr AJ Hackett, the company’s founder and chief executive officer.

A limited number of tickets will be put up for auction prior to the attraction’s opening and members of the public can register their interest or follow updates on the project’s development.
