Meet the speakers

Paul Ark – Managing Partner of Corporate Venture Capital for Digital Ventures — Panelist for the topic: “Getting Ready for the Big League: How to Raise your Series B”

A man who has spent a career spanning variety of industries; from finance, strategy and technology to retail & real estate.

Ark has over 20 years of on-the-ground management and deal experience in North, South, and Southeast Asia, with tenures in Silicon Valley and on Wall Street. Paul is currently based in Bangkok managing a corporate venture capital fund and a startup accelerator. He is an active angel investor and start-up advisor/mentor.

Tamowan (June) Chen — Investment Associate, Monk’s Hill Ventures — Panelist for the topic: “Getting Ready for the Big League: How to Raise your Series B”

With experience as a Project Manager in Thailand, June understands how to correctly plan and execute initiatives to maximise resource utilisation and process efficiency.

June has recently been working in the investment banking industry, primarily advising large corporate clients on IPOs, local and cross-border M&A transactions in Southeast Asia.

June’s experience spans across multiple segments including consumer, real estate, telecommunication and energy sectors.

Polpat Songthamjitti — Co-founder and CMO of GetLinks — Workshop Speaker: Growth

GetLinks is a leading tech hiring platform in Southeast Asia. This year, the startup nabbed investment from SEEK and the Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund.

They have also become the first Thai Startups in history to join & receive direct funding from top accelerator in Silicon Valley, 500 Startups

Apart from being the co-founder of GetLinks, Polpat has also been named a member of the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia Class for 2018.

He has previous experience as Lazada’s Senior Online Marketing Manager for Social Media. He also was the Head Organiser & Community Leader of BKK Startup Job Fest, the Manager of Drinkentrepreneurs-Asia, and Director of Kairos Society Thailand, an international nonprofit organization, invitation-only club, that seeks to develop top entrepreneurs from universities around the world.

He is also a Mentor and Investor of several startups in Thailand

David Jou — Founder, Pomelo — Roundtable Discussion: Founder Burnout: When work and personal life gets too overwhelming

Before Pomelo, he co-founded Lazada Thailand and served as the managing director. During his time there, Lazada Thailand grew to be one of the leading online shopping sites in Thailand.

Having been a founder of two companies while he was in university Jou is a startup veteran and is now the leader of one of Thailand’s most interesting young startups. Jou is a man who has a true passion for the e-commerce scene and veteran to entrepreneurship.
