64-year-old man arrested over Geylang murder

A 64-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 52-year-old man in Lorong 23 Geylang.

He will be charged with murder on Friday (22 July) and faces the death penalty if found guilty.

According to the police, the victim was found motionless on the morning of 9 July. He was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene at about 8.11am.

The New Paper reported that the victim was coffeeshop helper and father of three Goh Eng Thiam. His body was found on the road after a fight.
