Seven men arrested for shouting gang-related slogans

Seven men aged between 27 and 50 were arrested for their suspected involvement in gang-related activities on Friday (3 March 2017) morning.

This comes after the police were alerted to a video circulating online, which showed several men shouting gang-related slogans during a funeral procession along Jalan Bukit Merah.

The video was uploaded on Thursday (2 March 2017), although it is not known when the incident happened.

Following investigations, officers from the Criminal Investigation Department established the identities of those in the video and arrested them in simultaneous raids at various locations islandwide.

Investigations against all the suspects are ongoing.
