9 men arrested for rioting at Duxton Hill carpark

SINGAPORE — Nine men aged between 20 and 35 were arrested for rioting at Duxton Hill on Sunday (14 July).

The police said they were alerted to the incident at 5 Duxton Hill at 5.48pm on Sunday.

A 46-second video, submitted by a reader to local tabloid The New Paper, showed around 20 men and women gathering near a carpark.

At least one of the women could be seen trying to stop some of the men from entering the carpark.

The group of men were later seen gathering in the carpark and could be heard shouting.

Police investigations are ongoing.
