9 Neighbours spoilers for next week

From Digital Spy

Next week on Neighbours, wedding fever begins to take over Lassiters, a catfish is exposed, and Finn begins slipping back into some dangerous old habits.

Here are nine storylines from the week to look forward to.

1. Mark's failed weddings return to haunt him

One of the things that Mark Brennan is most known for is his love of proposing. It's to be expected that he would be greeted by the ghosts of engagements past at some point, but having two of them appear in wedding dresses proves to be quite the shock.

Thanks to the Lassiters wedding expo, Paige and Elly are both asked if they would be able to wear a dress to help drum up publicity. But poor old Mark bumps into both and can't help but look back on his failed relationships and wonder if he'll ever find love.

2. Chloe has an idea to cheer Elly up

Following her kiss with Finn, Elly is feeling low and is looking back on all the decisions she has made over the years. Chloe notices that she isn't herself and quizzes her on what is wrong. Not wanting to admit the truth to her, Elly deflects and claims that she isn't happy with where she is in life, even though she couldn't be happier with Aster.

Chloe then has an idea. With Elly's 35th birthday approaching, she thinks they should all go on a glamping trip to Pierce's island to celebrate. But does Elly really want a celebration?

3. Lucy debates reuniting with a former love

Lucy and Mark Gottlieb enjoy catching up after bumping into one another, but is there a chance that they could rekindle a romance they had 25 years earlier? Lucy certainly thinks so, until she has a chat with Paige about Jack and begins to think that Mark's commitment to his faith could be an obstacle for them living happily ever after.

She begins to feel a little uncomfortable around him, but when he asks her out on a date to take her mind off the wedding expo, she is forced to really think about whether the two of them could have a chance.

4. Finn's controlling side returns

Finn is struggling to control his anger following his treatment by Lucy and now he wants Bea to take a stand alongside him by quitting singing at The Waterhole. Bea refuses to comply and this only causes Finn's anger to rise. Will he notice that the controlling behaviour he is displaying is very similar to how he was before his coma?

Meanwhile, Bea notices that she and Finn are beginning to drift and takes action to try and prevent it from getting worse, but is finding him a guardian for the glamping trip the best idea?

5. Jane's mysterious "Richard" is revealed

The list of potential catfishes has been long for Jane as she has battled to find out who duped her and stole her money, but this week the truth comes out and it turns out it was nobody with a grudge against her at all. Paul gets to the bottom of it and learns that the culprit is none other than his old enemy, Mannix.

Unfortunately for Paul, just because he has found his man doesn't mean that Jane's problems are over. Mannix makes it clear that he has some information and correspondence on Jane that she wouldn't want made public and proceeds to blackmail Paul to keep it hidden.

6. Toadie lashes out at Roxy

With numerous Erinsborough residents wearing wedding dresses in order to drum up publicity for the Lassiters wedding expo, one dress has been the topic of conversation – Sonya's. Toadie has been wrestling over whether to allow it to be included and decides that he would rather it wasn't.

Roxy, however, picks up the dress before it is taken back and leaves Toadie stunned and angry when he sees her walking about wearing it. While he does apologise for losing his temper, Roxy is devastated that she has caused so much hurt to someone.

7. Prue is back in town with an announcement

It seems the only person that is pleased to see Prue back in Erinsborough is Gary – certainly not her daughter Harlow, who makes it clear she is not willing to forgive and forget her mother for abandoning her for The Order. But when Gary organises a welcome barbecue, she reluctantly agrees to attend, only to find out that Prue and Gary are engaged.

Everyone makes it clear that they don't approve of this latest development and Harlow becomes convinced that she wants nothing to do with her mother's return.

8. A dangerous memory returns for Finn

Finn gets some good news – Toadie has agreed to be his guardian, so he is able to join everyone on the island for the glamping trip. But while he is celebrating this news, he gets a call from Trent and later confesses to his video diary that he now remembers all the details of his time in Colombia.

This is a memory that only makes his anger towards his father – and Bea for making contact – grow. While Bea tries to cheer him up, all Finn wants to do is spend time with Elly, and this can only spell trouble for the person that he is quickly becoming.

9. Friends and family mark the anniversary of Sonya's death

It has been exactly one year since Sonya Rebecchi passed away, and on the anniversary, Toadie is struggling with how to deal with it. He decides that he just wants to be alone with Nell and Hugo, despite numerous concerns from those that care about him.

Meanwhile, everyone else who cared about Sonya feel they need to mark the occasion and honour her memory. But will Toadie want them doing anything? And will he agree to be with them all as they pay tribute?

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
