Pregnancy takes a huge toll on a woman’s body. Apart from the obvious physical changes, pregnancy hormones also stretch joints and ligaments all over the body to prepare a woman for labor and delivery, which can lead to back pain and sciatica. Our organs literally make way, squashed aside to accommodate the growing fetus in us while being expected to maintain regular functions. To top it all off, our bodies are also more susceptible to infections during pregnancy, not to mention a myriad of uncomfortable potential issues such as hair loss, pregnancy incontinence and nausea, just to name a few.
All in all, pregnancy is a very noble endeavour to maintain the population on Earth.
