Aaron Kwok: Chow Yun Fat deserves all the respect
30 Oct – Hong Kong superstar Aaron Kwok has no issue with the notion that his new movie "Project Gutenberg" was a box office hit because of co-star Chow Yun Fat.
As reported on Oriental Daily, the actor, who appeared at the audience appreciation event in Hong Kong recently, was asked about his thoughts regarding director Felix Chong's previous statement that a third of the box office success should be credited to Chow.
"Of course, Chow Yun Fat plays an important part. Each and every one of the actors have put in an effort; but he is the senior deserving of the respect. Everybody recognises his talent, beyond any doubt," he said.
Aaron also stated that he was originally cast to play Chow's role in the movie, but it changed when the veteran star joined the project.
"I would like to thank him for giving me the chance to play this character. This team is perfect. I hope that the movie will continue to break records," he added.
