Abbasov Defends World Title, Nastyukhin Earns Dominant Win At ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX II
ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX II delivered nonstop action from the opening bout to the main event.
In fact, only one of five fights at the Singapore Indoor Stadium went the distance on Friday, 6 November.
In the main event, ONE Welterweight World Champion Kiamrian “Brazen” Abbasov defended his belt for the first time against previously undefeated American standout James Nakashima.
Nakashima put up a solid effort against the defending welterweight king, but Abbasov ultimately walked away as the winner in the fourth round after planting two knees into his rival’s head and then finishing him off with hammerfists.
In the co-main event, #4-ranked lightweight contender Timofey Nastyukhin returned to the ONE Circle for the first time in nearly 20 months to face #3-ranked lightweight Pieter “The Archangel” Buist.
Nastyukhin controlled much of the contest, often outstriking his Dutch opponent and taking him down at will. Rarely was the Russian troubled during the bout, and that led to him getting the unanimous decision nod.
With the win, Nastyukhin likely earned himself a shot at ONE Lightweight World Champion Christian “The Warrior” Lee.

Next up, ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX III will be headlined by a barnburner between #1-ranked bantamweight Kevin “The Silencer” Belingon and #5-ranked bantamweight John “Hands of Stone” Lineker.
