ARDSLEY, N.Y. (AP) _ Acorda Therapeutics Inc. (ACOR) on Tuesday reported a loss of $25.2 million in its third quarter.
The Ardsley, New York-based company said it had a loss of 55 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and stock option expense, came to 43 cents per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 66 cents per share.
The drugmaker posted revenue of $141.1 million in the period, which also fell short of Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $151.5 million.
Acorda shares have risen 45 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 54 percent in the last 12 months.
