Singaporean actress Cheryl Wee welcomed her first baby last Thursday (26 April), a day after her birthday.

Her husband, architect Roy Fong, posted a black-and-white photograph on Instagram of the happy family in hospital on Friday, saying, “Welcome to the world, my son!”

Wee hasn’t revealed her child’s name yet, referring to him as simply “baby M”. The 30-year-old, who is also the owner of spa and wellness company Cheryl W. and daughter of beauty chain founder Jean Yip, said on her own Instagram that she was “still getting the hang of things” with her newborn.

Wee announced her pregnancy late last year after she and her husband posted a joking video of them discovering a note that said “#Weefongababy” while unwrapping Christmas presents.

Since then, she has shared her pregnancy journey with her social media followers by posting pictures and videos about her experience.

Wee has been open about her pregnancy struggles on her Instagram page. She revealed that she had to go through “tummy cramps and a churning stomach” and that the worst part of pregnancy is “being really sick”.
