Retired Supreme Court Justice Roberto Abad has recommended administrative charges against Judge Antonio Reyes of Baguio City Regional Trial Court Branch 61.
Judge Reyes is one of the so-called ‘narco-judges’ whom President Duterte claimed to be allegedly involved in illegal drugs.
In his report to the Supreme Court, Justice Abad says the allegations of a certain Melchora Hagen against Judge Reyes are serious.
Nagen claimed in her December 2007 affidavit that she was acquitted of drugs charges after her family paid Judge Reyes 50,000 pesos in 2005.
The SC has directed the office of the court administrator to make an inventory of cases handled by Judge Reyes and ordered a bribery probe on his driver.
Likewise, the court directed the NBI to trace the witnesses mentioned in Justice Abad’s report including Nagen. — Roderic Mendoza | UNTV News & Rescue
