KUALA LUMPUR: Affin Holdings Berhad (Affin) donated two state-of-the-art haemodialysis machines to Hospital Angkatan Tentera in Lumut, Perak in recognition of the sacrifices and services offered by the country’s military personnel.
Its chairman, General (R) Datuk Seri DiRaja Tan Sri Dr Mohd Zahidi Zainuddin said, as a responsible corporate citizen, Affin has always been committed to making a positive difference in the lives of those in need.
“Our nation’s servicemen and women have sacrificed much for our security, putting our nation above their own lives.
“They are true heroes, more than deserving of our care,” he said during the handing over ceremony in Perak yesterday.
The brand-new Fresenius Medical Care 4008S Next Generation haemodialysis machines priced at RM91,796 will allow the hospital to attend to even more serving and retired military personnel as well as their families in need of treatment.
“Our donation is our small way of ensuring that their medical needs are taken care of,” said Zahidi.
This marked the third consecutive year Affin has supported the military establishment by contributing haemodialysis machines for their benefit.
