Afghan diaspora hold anti-Taliban protest in Rome

Rome (Italy), Aug 21 (ANI): An anti-Taliban demonstration took place at Republic Square in the heart of Rome. The event saw a gathering of around 100 people including Afghan expats from Pashton, Uzbeck and Tajik communities. Several Italians and media persons joined the event in a show of expression of solidarity with the Afghan citizens. Holding anti-Taliban and anti-Pakistan banners, several Afghans came with their families. The four-hour event witnessed sloganeering and speeches by the community members requesting the world not to abandon the Afghans and “Afghan Lives Matters”.
