Alden Richards among actors honoured with NCCA's Ani ng Dangal

28 Feb – Alden Richards is happy to be among the few celebrities to have been honoured the Ani ng Dangal by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA).

As reported on PEP, the actor recently took to Instagram to share a photo with his trophy during the event at the Malacañang Palace, writing, "It's an honor to receive one of these from NCCA and Malacañang. Thank you for this recognition. So timely that we are celebrating Arts month this [February]."

"Congratulations to all the recipients of the 12th Ani ng Dangal Awards!" he added.

Richards received the honour for previously being awarded the Asian Star Prize at the Seoul International Drama Awards last year.

Aside from the actor, other celebrities who received similar honour include Kristofer King, who won Best Actor at the Asian International Film Festival and Awards, as well as Ai-Ai delas Alas and Ina Raymundo, who both received Best Actress at the 39th Oporto International Film Festival in Portugal for their performance in "School Service" and "Kuya Wes".

Meanwhile, Judy Ann Santos - who previously won Best Actress at the 41st Cairo International Film Festival for her acting in "Mindanao" - couldn't make it to the event.

Ani ng Dangal or "Harvest of Honors" is an annual National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) award for Filipino artists who have been given international recognition or awards for their performance.
