Donald Trump has made it very clear that he isn't the biggest fan of Alec Baldwin's impersonation of him - so this weekend, the actor decided to make him an offer.

After the president-elect took to Twitter on Saturday to call SNL "unwatchable" and to express his belief that Baldwin's impersonation of him "just can't get any worse," the actor responded by saying he'd agree to stop doing it in exchange for the release of his tax returns.

According to The Washington Post, Trump is the "first major presidential nominee in 40 years to refuse to release his tax returns" - a fact that has become all the more remarkable and controversial now that he's become the president-elect. In particular, many people still take issue with the fact that Trump may have avoided paying his federal income taxes for up to 18 years, something he neither confirmed nor denied during the debates.

Throughout the election, Trump continuously claimed he wasn't allowed to release his returns as a result of a routine audit, despite the IRS saying he was free to release them "at any time." Since being elected, however, the president-elect has claimed he intends to release them eventually - but he's also expressed that he doesn't actually think that people care.

"At the appropriate time, I will release them," he said during his 60 Minutes interview. "But right now I’m under routine audit. Nobody cares. The only one who cares is, you know, you and a few people that asked that question. Obviously, the public didn’t care because I won the election very easily. So they don’t care. I never thought they did care."

At the very least, it appears Alec Baldwin still cares very much. However, the president-elect has not yet responded to the actor's offer at this time.
