Alicia Amin is happy that KLFW models are paid their dues

23 Sep – Alicia Amin is happy that her effort in making sure that all Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week models are paid their dues has come to fruition.

The Malaysian model and actress, who spoke to the media at the press conference of her new movie, "Rasuk", shared that eight of the models have told her that they had received full payment, while some others are awaiting theirs at the end of the month.

"A legal firm offered their help to me to bring this issue to court, but I decided to just speak with the organiser if the payments are not made," she said.

Alicia said that a lot of the models have expressed their thanks for her effort.

"I'm happy because one of the models also was able to use the money for her wedding," she added.

It is noted that Alicia previously made the brave move of protesting on behalf of the models at the KL Fashion Week 2022, revealing that some of the models had not been paid all the way from 2019.

The 27-year-old model stood outside the event venue with a placard in her hands that read, "All models this year to be paid within the day. Those still waiting for Andrew's payment from previous years, come speak to me."
