DUBLIN 4, Ireland (AP) _ Alkermes PLC (ALKS) on Wednesday reported a loss of $21.1 million in its fourth quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Dublin 4, Ireland-based company said it had a loss of 14 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 15 cents per share.
The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was breakeven on a per-share basis.
The drugmaker posted revenue of $213.5 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $202.3 million.
For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $208.4 million, or $1.38 per share. Revenue was reported as $745.7 million.
Alkermes expects a full-year loss of $1.27 per share.
Alkermes shares have risen roughly 3 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 72 percent in the last 12 months.
