Episode 1 of “The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition” saw the introduction of two Singaporeans – gymnast Joy Koh and Singapore Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Open founder Alvin Ang.

During team selections, both Koh and Ang wound up on the same side – Team Conquest – along with six other global candidates.

Unfortunately for Team Conquest – and especially Ang – the group lost the first physical and business challenges, succumbing to the physical endurance and business savvy of Team Valor.

Because of that, Ang, Team Conquest Project Manager Nazee Sajedi, and Filipina candidate Lara Pearl Alvarez were sent to the chopping block to face ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong, where they nervously awaited deliberation.

Sityodtong grilled each of the three candidates for their misjudgments during the business challenge and asked why they deserved to remain on the show.

After some tense moments and heartfelt responses, ONE’s Chairman and CEO decided to let all three candidates stay and compete for the ultimate prize.

However, should Alvin, Nazee, or Lara be sent to the chopping block again, it could be game over.

Catch the next episode of “The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition” this Thursday, 25 March, on AXN at 8:50 p.m.
