I’m a lifestyle editor, and here are 14 products I really hope are marked down for October Prime Day
As a professional online shopper (yes, I love my job), I can definitively say that I am great at shopping. I can sniff out a good deal from miles away and tend to have roughly 728 products in my cart at any given time. So, let me help you build your online shopping cart. Whether you’re shopping for major sale events like Prime Day or just upgrading your wardrobe, I’ll always give you the must-have picks.
Even though AmazonPrime Day has come and gone, the online retailer has decided to surprise the world with what is basically a second Prime Day in October. Um, what?!?! Us Amazon shoppers have been doubly blessed this year.
This year, the second Prime Day is happening on October 10 and 11. Since I love a good deal as much as you (hello, inflation!), you can bet that I have a well-organized list of expert-approved October Prime Day deals that I’m hoping show up during the major event.
Below, shop my wishlist for the best Prime Day deals. Let the manifestation begin!
I am truly obsessed with my Hatch Restore. Basically, it's a sunset, sunrise, white noise machine and clock all in one. But Hatch just dropped this new one that's so frickin' cute and will look so good with my bedroom aesthetic.
Look, my fiancé and I have had the elusive — and very, very expensive — Samsung Frame TV on our wishlist since it first dropped. So, like, fingers crossed that it's majorly marked down on Prime Day so we can justify the price.
The Le Specs Last Lolita sunglasses have been my go-to sunglasses for years now — but they recently snapped in an unfortunate overstuffed carry-on incident that I'd rather not talk about. Fingers crossed, I can grab them on sale because I truly can't imagine my life without them.
I use the Supergoop! Glowscreen pretty much every day. But it's definitely on the pricier side, which is why I always stock up whenever there's a major sale like the Sephora Sale or (hopefully) Prime Day.
As one tends to be, I'm a sucker for pretty things. And among the prettier things I've seen go viral are the super cute Bala Bangles weights. Of course, $55 is a little pricey for a set of ankle weights — but sales dreams sometime do come true!
I've never really bought into the whole celebrity perfume thing (except for Taylor Swift's Wonderstruck way back when because obviously). However, I've heard so many good things about Ariana Grande's Cloud Perfume.
Cloud Eau de Parfum features notes of lavender blossom, bergamot, praline, vanilla orchid and sensual musks. Yes, I'm already salivating.
So, for Halloween this year, my fiancé and I are going as Guy Fieri and Girl Fieri. We have the rest of our costumes pretty much set, but we need a good flames shirt to capture the iconic essence of Flavortown. Obviously, this shirt is perfect — and I'd love to get it for less than $36.
Vietnam is facing its largest banking scandal, with the recent arrest of real estate developer, Truong My Lan, accused of embezzling around 304 trillion dong (approximately $12.4 billion). The embezzlement: On Nov. 17, Vietnam's Ministry of Public Security alleged that Truong, the 79-year-old chairwoman of Van Thinh Phat Group, embezzled from Saigon Commercial Bank (SCB), where she was a majority stakeholder. Over several years, Truong allegedly operated over 1,000 domestic and foreign subsidiaries and shell companies, securing more than $43 billion in loans from SCB, with approximately one-third of this sum misappropriated through the creation of "ghost companies" by Truong, her family and associates.
A Beijing couple had the shock of their lives after realizing that they have been drinking toilet water for six months in their rented apartment. Strange occurrences: The couple, identified only by local reports as Mr. Tan and his girlfriend, moved into the Beijing apartment in May. They reportedly pay 10,000 yuan ($1,411) rent per month. After six months, they noticed that their water bills stopped coming although their water supply continued.
