When does Prime Day 2023 end?

All the deals will end at 11.59pm on 12 July, if not before, depending on stock. However, Amazon's Lightning Deals are time-sensitive and available for a short period of time with limited stock, so you have to be quick to bag them. Once the product is 100% claimed no more will be released.

Do you need to be a Prime member to shop the sales?

As the name suggests, the summer sales event is exclusive to Amazon Prime members. If you haven't yet signed up, a monthly membership costs £8.99 a month, or a yearly subscription is £95. However, you can sign up for a free 30-day trial to make the most of the Prime Day deals.

How can I find the best Prime Day deals?

  • Take a look at the Amazon Prime Day site and see what brands or products you might be after, so you have a list of items and don't give in to impulse purchases

  • Use the left hand rail on the Today's Deals page to find filters for price, discount percentage, as well as average customer reviews, allowing you to easily find products that are within budget and have good reviews

On the right hand rail on the Today's Deals page, you can easily filter sale options to find what you're looking for quickly. (Amazon)

  • You can also click the drop down on the right hand side to filter by 'Discount - high to low' to find the highest possible reductions. However, be careful when looking through the products that show up as some third-party sellers deals may not be entirely sound. More on how to spot that in a minute...

How can I check if a Prime deal is a good deal?

It's a good idea to double check you're getting a good deal before checking out. We recommend using sites such as Price Runner or Price Spy where you can type in the product name and a variety of merchant price options are generated, to confirm the Amazon deal is in fact the best one.

When shopping on Amazon it's also important to make sure that a product is reputable and looking at the reviews is usually a good indicator. We usually only promote products that have at least a couple of hundred reviews from UK customers and have at least 70% to 80% four- and five-star reviews.

See a product that's so cheap it seems too good to be true? It usually is, and the reviews will often let you know this quickly. Some third-party sellers create fake positive reviews, so as well as checking the overall rating it's also a good idea to check out the lower star rating to get a honest assessment of the product before you purchase.

As always, Yahoo UK's seasoned shopping editors will be scouring the best discounts throughout Prime Day to promote deals we think are genuinely worth purchasing.

Is there an early deal that has already caught your attention? There's no guarantee that the same product will be reduced on Prime Day, or if there will even be stock left by then, so we always suggest purchasing a good early Prime Day deal to avoid disappointment.
