London named ‘best perceived city’ in the world ahead of New York and Paris

A new poll has confirmed what Brits already knew, naming London the best perceived city on the planet.

The UK capital beat tough competition from the likes of Paris, which came second, and third-place New York, to take the crown as the city that most lives up to the overall perception of it.

Around 5,200 adults  - including “business decision makers” and “informed elites” from 16 countries - voted for London out of 30 global cities based on factors like culture, entertainment, infrastructure, health and general happiness.
