Andy Lau to star in "Running on Karma 2"
16 Jun - It was rumoured that Andy Lau will reprise his role as the former Buddhist monk-turned-bodybuilder in the sequel to his 2003 film, "Running on Karma".
As reported on HK Channel, 12 years after the first film was released, producers Johnnie To and Wai Ka Fai decided to film the sequel in 3D, scheduled to be released next year.
However, lead actress Cecilia Cheung will be replaced with mainland actress Gao Yuanyuan – a news that is not surprising to many since To himself has expressed his dislike of the actress in a previous interview.
Another new face joining the project will be Jacky Heung. Sources revealed that Jacky will be playing the role of Andy's disciple.
When asked to confirm the rumours, a representative of the production company stated that there will be a sequel to the film, although nothing has been finalised just yet.
