The general manager and secretary of Ang Mo Kio Town Council (AMKTC) is being investigated by the the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB).

In September, the town council received a complaint about Victor Wong of CPG Facilities Management, the managing agent of the town council, reported The Straits Times on 29 Dec.

Wong was removed from his duties in November.

Ang Hin Kee, MP for Ang Mo Kio GRC, told The Straits Times the complaint was regarding the way Wong handled “contracts and dealings in the town council”.

Staff were reminded to declare any interests regarding tenders awarded by the town council, said Ang.

Ang added that other activities in the town council were not affected by the incident.
