Ant Anstead Announces He's Taking a "Little Break" From Social Media After Blocking "Over 100 People"

Ant Anstead is unplugging from social media. On Sunday, the Wheeler Dealers star announced on Instagram that he's taking a break from social media, posting a video of his wife Christina saying, "Happy anniversary." In the caption, he writes that he says "happy anniversary" to his wife every single Sunday, and it "drives her crazy."

He points out that the world is also crazy right now. "And for all the good things social media has it also carries a toxic element!" he writes. "I have blocked over 100 people in the last few days. Humans are lashing out. And it saddens me!" So to escape the negative environment he's experiencing online, Ant says he'll be taking a "little break" from social media.

Ant says he plans to use his time unplugged from social media to pamper Christina, annoy his kids, eat a bunch of carbs, and watch '80s movies. "Be kind to each other and seeya soon ✌🏼❤️," he concludes in the caption.

On the same day he posted a photo of a sign that reads, "back soon," hanging on a hook, captioning the post, "Be kind x."

Ant's decision to go offline follows criticism of his show of support for Christina's ex-husband's Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Young's recent engagement. Commenting on HGTV's Instagram post of the newly engaged couple, Ant writes: "Congratulations you two!! (What took you so long .... 😊) ❤️." The comment drew almost 50 responses. While many people responded with positivity, others had different opinions. One person tagged someone and commented that it's "completely inappropriate." Another person writes: "Why don’t the four of you all go on a date together? Weird [sic] relationship ever." In response, Ant said, "err.... no thank you x."
