GEORGE TOWN: The antics of a reckless motorcyclist on the Penang Bridge had been creating a buzz since a video of the act surfaced online.

In the 10-second clip, a motorcyclist is seen riding motorcycle with his feet resting on the handles as he types away on his handphone, oblivious to his surroundings.

One can’t help but be amazed at how the motorcyclist kept his balance so well.

At one point he looks up and is seen looking at the person recording the video clip as a white Perodua Myvi passes him by.

The video is marked with a Chinese character, translated as ‘cow’ with the location tagged Penang Bridge.

From the video, the view in the background looks similar to what one would encounter if travelling on the Penang Bridge, however, it is unclear if the rider was heading towards the island or the mainland.

Seberang Perai Selatan district police chief Supt Shafee Abdul Samad said that they have yet to receive any police report over the matter.

“We will look into the incident. I would also like to warn motorist that such reckless action could earn them a summon,” he said, when contacted here today.

Southwest district police spokesperson also said they have yet to receive any report regarding the incident.
