ANTIPOLO POLICE HAVE NEW CHIEF

ANTIPOLO CITY - The Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO) announced yesterday the assignment of Supt. Emmanuel Placido as the new head of this city's police force. Placido's assumption as officer-in-charge (OIC) of the Antipolo City Police Office last Saturday followed the reassignment of its former chief, Senior Supt. Rolando Anduyan, to the Laguna PPO where he was designated as chief of police of San Pablo City. Sr. Supt. Rolando Anduyan said the transfer was part of the normal routine of the PNP and implemented before the deadline of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) which bans the transfer of a government personnel during the election period, which officially started yesterday. ARMY BUILDS N.V. BRIDGE, ROAD

AMBAGUIO, Nueva Vizcaya - The construction of the P25-million farm-to-market road and bailey bridge in Barangay Tiblac here is nearing completion with the assistance of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the local government here said. The 200-meter road and bridge construction project is part of the farm-to-market road programs of the national government and is seen to efficiently facilitate movement of agricultural products and promote local tourism in this agricultural town. The AFP Engineering Brigade has assisted the provincial government and the municipal government here in the said construction which is expected to be completed this year. (Mark Anthony N. Manuel)
