SHAH ALAM: Police arrested 12 more people, including eight Klang school students, for suspected involvement in ‘Gang 24’ triad group activities.
The detainees, who were nabbed over the last four days, include a Form Five student who police believe is the mastermind of the gang's “party” last week which saw members creating a major disturbance in front of a school.
Selangor police Criminal Investigation Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Fadzil Ahmat said three of the students, picked up during a series of raids in the district between Friday and Monday, are still under remand.
The latest arrests have raised the total number of suspects in custody to 53.
Fadzil said police have almost completed their probe into the April 20 incident, and are waiting for further instructions from the deputy public prosecutor's office.
