This App Gives You an Insider's Peek at the White House

All you need is a $1 bill and a smartphone.

With nothing more thana new app anda $1 bill, anyone can get an inside look at the White House.

Building off the success of the popular gaming app Pokmon Go, the White House released its own spin on the augmented reality trend with a new app called 1600.

Narrated by White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest, the guided tour shows a variety of events and rooms at the president's residence, according to a press release from the White House. Users can see the iconic building through the seasons, witnessing a landing of Marine One or a state dinner.

The White House Historical Association and Nexus Studios teamed up to ensure that the app was both historically accurate and visually pleasing. The first president to live in the original White House (which was later burned during the war of 1812 and rebuilt) was President John Adams and his wife Abigail.
