April Leung finally speaks up about Steven Cheung
19 Aug – After keeping mum about her sudden breakup from singer Steven Cheung for weeks, stage actress April Leung recently took to social media to express her thoughts about the issue, as reported on Mingpao.
Back in early August, April admitted on social media that she was taken aback after boyfriend Steven Cheung announced that he was tying the knot with his non-showbiz girlfriend Man Man, who is also the mother of his baby.
April stated that she was blindsided by the news, since they were still together two days before the singer made the announcement.
In a recent seven-minute video posted on Instagram titled "Something to Share", April assured that she is doing okay now, though added that it would be impossible for her to say she is completely fine.
She also explained her previous hashtag "Five Years Stolen from Me", saying that she watched a movie called "The Stolen Years" the night before Steven's shocking post, and sent a message via WhatsApp to him.
"I never expected to get this kind of response," she said.
She admitted that she and Steven had been dating since 2017, and that as far as she knew, he wasn't dating anybody else at the same time.
Stressing that she never suspected the singer, April said that she even visited Steven in Hengdian back in January and was backstage at one of his concerts. She confessed that she only found out about Steven's relationship with Man Man and the existence of a baby like everybody else.
She ended the video by thanking friends who were there by her side.
In the caption, she wrote, "The road ahead is still very long. I hope everyone will continue to grow and learn with me. Where there is pain there is love."
