After skipping a scheduled engagement because he was not feeling well, President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III is back to work.

Malacanang has also assured the public that Aquino is in the pink of health.

“The President has regular check-ups,” Presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda told a press conference Thursday.

On Wednesday, Aquino did not attend a scheduled courtesy call at the Palace. Budget Secretary Florencio Abad was his proxy.

Under Article VII, Section 12 of the 1987 constitution, "in case of serious illness of the President, the public shall be informed of the state of his health."

Meanwhile, youth militant group Anakbayan hit Aquino by introducing a "new form" of protest: "Noynoying."

"Noynoying is the new planking: uupo lang walang gagawin kundi papogi at tamad tamaran," Anakbayan national chairperson Vencer Crisostomo said, as they joined transport groups in a protest calling for oil deregulation amid skyrocketing crude prices.

"Noynoying" which has since replaced "planking" as a form of protest, will now be done militant youth groups to imply Aquino's supposed laziness as chief executive.
