PETALING JAYA, April 24 — Evidently being one of India’s richest music composers doesn’t mean AR Rahman only enjoys the perks of luxury living.
The famed two-time Grammy Award winner treated himself to a no-fuss breakfast at a roadside stall in Melaka yesterday on his latest trip to Malaysia.
“Breakfast at Melaka!” Rahman wrote in a post that has collected over 104,000 “likes” in the past 24 hours.
It is understood the stall is located in Umbai Melaka. According to comments on the photo, it is well-known among locals for its nasi lemak.
The showman was visiting Pulau Besar where he was spotted taking selfies with fans during the day.
Sources say Rahman was in Malaysia to attend a wedding. The day before, he shared a picture from Bukit Bintang in KL.
He is not scheduled to perform any shows.
The pictures set off a chain of responses from Malaysian social media users who were surprised by Rahman’s unannounced arrival.
“WHAT? HE’S HERE? Omg, what is happening?” wrote one supporter.
“Living legend in Malacca!” a user commented.
“Sir, have a great time here! We are eagerly awaiting your concert,” another added.
