Pop music idols just sing, dance and look good, right? No – at least, that’s not the case for Arashi’s leader, Satoshi Ohno, who also produces intricate canvas artworks and quirky clay models. Since 2008, the 40-year-old multi-talented artist has held two art exhibitions in Japan titled Freestyle and Freestyle II — he even held one in Shanghai in 2015. His third art exhibition, Freestyle 2020, has concluded in Tokyo. But lo and behold, Ohno-san will be streaming a ticketed virtual tour of Freestyle 2020 on 11 December!

Ohno-san is so popular that on his birthday recently, his fans’ hashtag for his birthday wishes trended at No. 2 worldwide on Twitter.

This is just a teaser and not the actual tour itself:

In the virtual tour, Ohno will introduce and explain the inspirations behind his past works, such as:

The virtual tour of Freestyle 2020 not only allows those who visited the art exhibition before to relive the experience, but also provides first-timers an opportunity to see and understand the artworks with the artist himself.

Tickets are now on sale on Johnny’s Net Online at 1,500 yen (about S$19), till 13 December, 11pm (JST). Although the virtual tour will be streamed on 11 December, 7pm (JST) for about 40 minutes, it can be replayed on-demand till 13 December, 11:59pm (JST). It does not look like there will be English subtitles for the virtual tour, but as long as we get a glimpse at his creations which we otherwise would not have been able to, it is still a pretty good deal, right?
