PURCHASE, N.Y. (AP) _ Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings (AAWW) on Tuesday reported a loss of $24.2 million in its third quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Purchase, New York-based company said it had a loss of 96 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $1.08 per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.13 per share.
The airplane leasing company and service provider posted revenue of $535.7 million in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $530.2 million.
Atlas Air shares have increased 17 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 41 percent in the last 12 months.
