Atletico Madrid star, Radamel Falcao, had a special cause for celebration after Colombia's 5-0 thrashing in the World Cup Qualifiers against Bolivia last week.

The striker, who has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea in the summer, announced that he will be expecting his first child with his wife, Argentinean singer Lorelai Taron.

Falcao promptly dedicated his goal to his wife by sticking his thumb into his mouth, which is a popular goal celebration in Latin America for footballers who are expecting a child.

"I'm very excited and happy at the news. Thankfully, it will come at this time. My life has been transformed and (I will now) take up a new responsibility as a father," said the 27-year-old.

Falcao later tweeted this photo of his wife with the caption: "So ... Let's be parents! (Feeling) Happy! A photo today at the stadium .. I've already noticed (Lorelai's) tummy hehe ..."

Lorelai and Falcao both met at an church in Argentina when he was playing for local side River Plate and the couple got married shortly after.

A devout Christian, he is also a leader of various religious youth groups, including "Locos por Jesús" (Crazy for Jesus) and "Campeones para Cristo." (Champions of Christ)

In a recent interview, Lorelai gushed over her husband and said : "I am very proud to have someone next to me who has so much talent. He is an exceptional person - I admire him too much," said Lorelai.

On 9 December 2012, Falcao became one of the few players in La Liga history to score five goals in one game after a 6–0 home victory against Deportivo de La Coruña.

He was also inducted into the FIFPro Team Of The Year in 2012 for his part in Atletico's Super Cup and Europa League victories.

Liverpool's Pepe Reina also recently welcomed his fourth child with his wife of seven years, Yolanda Ruiz.

The goalkeeper, 30, took advantage of the holiday granted to him by Spain coach Vicente del Bosque on Saturday to visit his newborn son - named Thiago Ruiz Reina - at the hospital last Saturday.

In Reina's trademark comedic style, the Liverpool goalkeeper made the following announcement on Facebook, presumably in the 'voice' of his son.

"Hi chicos! I'm here! My name is Thiago Ruiz Reina and I was born in Cordoba on 03/23/2013 at 18:30. I weight 3 kg and measure (up to) 50cm. My mom has behaved like a champion and my dad is drinking a glass champagne to my health, heh, heh. We love you very much! Thanks to everyone!"

Later, Reina added : "Thank you for your love and for all the congratulations! Definitely one of the happiest days of my life! A big hug!"

The Spanish national goalkeeper is part of the Spanish National Team's 'Fathers' club, which currently consists of Victor Valdés, Pedro, Gerard Piqué and David Villa.

Reina has three other children named Gecia, Alma and Luca.

Wayne Rooney's wife, Coleen, 27, has entered a public feud with Camilla Parker Bowles, also known as the Duchess of Cornwall in England.

At an event in London on Tuesday night, Camilla - who is married to Prince Charles - was shown a photo of the lavish wedding dress Coleen wore during her 2007 wedding to Wayne Rooney.

Later, the Duchess told a group of people in attendance that the WAG had spent '£5 million' on her bridal gown and that "Wayne Rooney's wife needs to be more sensible with her money"

Coleen, who is no stranger to criticism from football fans and the public, took to Twitter to hit back at the Duchess of Cornwall.

"I apparently paid around 5 million for my wedding dress!! Joke!!! Diamonds on it..... Not one! Camilla (Dutchess (sic) of Cornwall) should know better and teach children to not always believe the rubbish reported in papers!!' she said.

Earlier this month, Coleen also took to Twitter to complain about Rooney's exclusion from United's line-up which faced Real Madrid in the Champions League.
