Aubrey Plaza Embraces Lace Detailing in Delicate Chloé Midi Dress for ‘My Old Ass’ Red Carpet Premiere
Aubrey Plaza opted for a sleeveless look at the red carpet premiere screening of her new film “My Old Ass” in New York City on Thursday. “The White Lotus” Emmy-nominated actress was joined by costar Maisy Stella and director Megan Park for the event.
For the occasion, Plaza wore an intricately designed dress courtesy of Chloé. The sand brown halter neck midi dress featured lace incrustations in organic crepe de chine. The delicate lace detailing was included on the neckline, hemline and side seam of the midi dress.

The dress featured a slim silhouette. Along with the dress, Plaza wore a pair of tan rose Alize pumps in shiny goatskin from the French luxury fashion house. The look was designed by Chloé’s creative director Chemena Kamali.
An alum of Saint Laurent, Kamali was appointed to the role of creative director in October 2023. Earlier in her career, Kamali worked under Phoebe Philo and Clare Waight Keller of Chloé. She succeeded Gabriela Hearst as the French Luxury fashion house’s creative director.
“My heart has always been Chloé’s. It has been since I stepped through its doors more than 20 years ago,” Kamali said. “Returning feels natural and very personal. I am extremely honored to be taking on this role and to be building on the vision that Gaby Aghion and Karl Lagerfeld defined early in the maison’s history. I hope to capture the emotional connection and spirit of Chloé for today.”
Kamali most recently had a hand in creating the suited looks worn by Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris at the Democratic National Convention last August. Chloé was founded in 1952 by Gaby Aghio.
“My Old Ass” follows Elliott (Maisy Stella) who, after a mushroom trip, finds herself face-to-face with her future 39-year-old self (Plaza), who helps Elliott realize she may need to rethink everything she knows about her family, love and life. The film hits theaters Friday.
“The title was one of the first things that I came up with,” Park told WWD of her film. “I didn’t know where the story was going to go or what was going to happen necessarily — but the title, it set the tone for me.”
