This weekend, Auto China will open to the public for the first time for a run which lasts through May 2. On May 5, London's EcoVelocity event returns for its second year, highlighting the latest and greatest electric cars and new infrastructure in the British capital.

Widely regarded as one of the finest endurance races in the world, the Mille Miglia attracts enthusiasts keen to compete through miles of Italian countryside, with stops in some of the country's finest towns and cities. Look out for time trials, spectator events and parades along the route, along with new cities Ferrara and Ravenna, and the new legs of Vicenza and Padua.
Monaco Grand Prix
One of the world's most prestigious automotive races, the Monaco Grand Prix draws spectators from around the world and is screened live internationally. This year will be the 70th edition.
Considered (along with the Monaco Grand Prix and the 24 Hours of Le Mans) to be one of the three most prestigious motor racing events in the world, the Indianapolis 500 is the biggest event of the season. The 500 mile (800 km) race is thought to attract some 400,000 visitors and is screened nationally in the US.
