Apollo is Baidu’s open autonomous driving platform. To date, it has over 90 partners and collaborators, including global companies such as Udacity, Microsoft and TomTom.

At CES 2018, Baidu revealed version 2.0 of Apollo, which it says is its “most complete solution and flexible architecture to partners and developers yet.” The platform now comes with security options for autonomous driving, as well as enhanced capabilities in positioning, perception, planning and control, and cloud simulation.

In addition, it will add full support for main computing platforms — NVIDIA, Intel, NXP and Renesas — and new vehicles such as SUVs, minibuses and trucks by this year.
