Banana Republic released the most gorgeous home and furniture collection this week

You probably know Banana Republic for its upscale, classic clothing, from khaki chinos and quality denim to timeless knits. But now, the retailer is moving into the home goods space. BR Home launched on Wednesday, Sept. 6, and the line includes bedding, rugs, sofas, coffee tables, dining chairs and more to elevate the home.

While the brand quietly released a few home items in the spring, including bedding and pillows, the BR Home line encompasses everything you’d need for your bedroom, living room and dining room. And it’s all in a neutral palette of white, tan, brown, black, taupe and the occasional pop of blue. The line also uses luxe fabrics like European linen, organic cotton, cashmere, brass, marble and French oak. In other words, it’s incredibly chic.

According to a press release, the BR Home collection features three key expressions within its design aesthetic:

  • Textured Modern is its blend of classic and contemporary styles — clean lines, mixed materials, minimalist aesthetic.

  • Classic Chic features more traditional fabrics, finishes and shapes with a contemporary feel. Think of this as the crisp white button-down of home style.

  • Explore is a style the brand says is influenced by global artisanal craftsmanship and embroideries. This style has a lot of natural finishes and earthy tones.

I had the pleasure of visiting the brand’s new BR Home pop-up store in New York City’s Soho neighborhood, and it’s gorgeous — I wish I could move in. Every sofa is soft yet supportive. The pillows look incredibly expensive. Plus, each furniture and decor piece matches the clothes hanging on the racks around it. You can just walk in and speak to a sales associate, but you can also make one-on-one appointments with a Home Design Consultant to walk you through the collection in-store or virtually to find the best new items for your space.

To be honest, looking at it all and taking in the store experience, I expected the prices to be exorbitant. But they’re pretty on par with other furniture brands like Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn or even Arhaus. For example, you can find a vase for $150 or a sofa for just under $5,000.

If you’re in the area, I recommend a visit to the store. If not, check it all out online — even if you’re only building out your dream Pinterest board.
