Barcelona defender Gerard Pique left hospital Wednesday after being kept in overnight for an accidental bash to the head during the Champions League defeat to Chelsea, the club said. "The player's progress in the past few hours has been satisfactory and this morning he was discharged," the club said in an online statement. "He will rest for a week and then will return for a check-up." Pique lay dazed on the grass on Tuesday night after a three-way pile-up with Barca's goalkeeper Victor Valdes and Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, in which the keeper's side bashed into Pique's head. The defender left the pitch shortly afterwards, 26 minutes into the Champions League semi-final in Barcelona, and was taken to hospital, replaced in defence by Dani Alves. The English club went through to the final in dramatic style, playing most of the match with 10 men to clinch a 2-2 draw to win 3-2 on aggregate.
